This bra is unbelievable, when I tried it on I could not believe it!! It really did considerably make my breasts look smaller! I wear a D-cup and I swear I felt like a B-cup. I normally feel like my breasts are in my face, and like the're just huuuge and it's really uncomfortable to walk and have them bounce around. With this bra, they not only looked smaller and cuter, but they where also held perfectly in place, they where no sagging or squished like with most strapless bras. Best Strapless Bra - Lilyette bra 939
This is simply the best strapless bra I have ever owned! I am currently living in Central America and took an unplanned, three hour hike up a mountain in this bra, followed by a ride in the back of a pick up truck through mountainous terrain and only adjusted the bra once! I have never owned another bra, strapless or otherwise, that has stayed in place this well and offered this much support, especially for a larger cup size. I now prefer to wear this bra over all others, including sports bras, when I know I am going to be taking "bouncy" transportation. Best of all, it is extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this bra to any woman who is looking for a strapless that will stay in place and not need readjusting all day / night long. |

I heard a Canadian comic say "when you get older, breasts aren't as much fun as they used to be, but you're still responsible for them!" If you're 40+ that goes double. But if you're fit- but busty- this bra style is the well-nigh perfect bra.
Like many of the reviewers here, I miss the legendary Lilyette Minimizer #458. This bra is the same style/design as the #458, but seems less durable. But if you were fated to walk through life with D cup breasts, this bra remains the indispensable choice. It shapes & lifts, without squishing or padding- like a "balcony" style bra. It provides even, comfortable, almost "suspension" support.
When the #458 disappeared (sob, sniffle) I went on a serious hunt for a replacement. But even Waacol and Chantelle bras at $60-100 didn't replace this bra for me. The style is still "an engineering marvel" as another reviewer here writes of the old version. Though I devoutly wish the penny-pinching MBA-geniuses at Lilyette/Maidenform HQ hadn't decided to change to this no-doubt more profitable variation on the #458, this bra is the most comfortable and pretty available for well-endowed women who don't mind looking somewhat sexy, but don't want to look ridiculous.
BTW these bras are always coming in and out of stock here with Amazon Prime. At Maidenform.com, they usually have them available, and reasonable or free shipping over a certain price. |

i don't usually log in and review things but i had to for this. i am a DD cup and have never found a strapless bra that stays up. usually the top bends down and it slips down. as soon as i put this one, it fit like a glove. it's extremely comfortable, and the top lies flat against your skin, without bowing out. i wore it under a tshirt just to see, and it stayed up ALL DAY! it made me look like at least a C cup or less - which is 2 full cup sizes down. you'd think you'd feel smooshed or squished but that is NOT the case! i can wear my button down shirts without the gaps in the buttons. i can wear tube tops and strapless dresses. i immediately ordered a couple more as backups. these are gold! they are so comfortable i could seriously wear it to bed. |

This bra is perfect if you have a short torso, and also if your boobs bulge a bit on the sides. The wire does not come up too high under your arms, and the curve of the wire is wide enough that it does not dig in on the sides. This bra has been a godsend for me, because I can actually forget I'm wearing it even for 18-hour days, and it also has a very natural shape. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that I think it would be improved by having three hooks in the back, not two. There's a similar bra called the "marvelous minimizer" that has three hooks, but don't be fooled, it does not fit nearly as well. |

Probably the best underwire bra ever designed (Oregon Coast) Lilyette bra 908
This bra has been available for probably 25 years. It has the best design for the underwire as it wraps all the way around and doesn't pinch at the tops. The comfortable straps stay on your shoulders and don't bite into them. The side panels are deep enough to properly shape you without digging into your armpits. The four-hook closure provides extra security. I have worn this bra for most of its 25 years and won't buy any other if I can help it. It used to be available in very large sizes, but Maidenform doesn't seem to offer the really large sizing anymore. Too bad. |

I haven't loved a bra this much in years. It makes me look just a little smaller, without the bra having the appearance of an ugly orthopedic device! It is lightweight and pretty, and the detailing on the sides is very nice. I love the mesh type fabric as opposed to the heavy, non-breathable stuff that they use in other minimizer bras. The support is amazing. It does, however, run large in the band: for example, I typically take a 38D and, in this bra, a 36DD is a better fit. The underwire is perfectly comfortable. |

Before the bra, my breasts were spilling over the top and sides of the dress. With the bra, the dress looks tasteful while still sexy. It's often hard to purchase a bra online. Without a little advice from a friend I would not have tried this one and I am glad I did. The only thing is I probably could have purchased one size smaller (38) as I already am at the second set of hooks and eyes. A new bra should fit from the outside hooks at the beginning and as you wear it and it stretches out you can continue to wear it by moving to the next hooks. I love the fit. |

I have this in 38DDD (yes it does come in that size even though it isn't shown for sale here.) This is a good basic style to wear everyday especially if you have a more physical job. It is very comfortable and give lots of support. The best use for Lilyette bras is for workouts and other very bouncy activities. This one is polyester, so it isn't quite as comfy as the cotton ones. On the other hand it comes in black which is not as dull a color as white and seems to last better.
Negative with this bra: Style - duh. You get a choice of a huge monotonous cup in black, white or beige. Once again the only thing thats allowed to be sexy about your big boobs is that they are big. You will not want to be caught shirtless in this bit of blah. Don't even let it peek out. And definitely don't leave it lieing around where some one might spot it. It is the female equivalent of yellowed tighty-whities, especially if it is white. Never have I been more embarassed to have left a bit of underwear out when a guy came over as when my white Lilyette bra was on top of the pile of clothes in the corner.
If you are smaller (C cup then I suspect that you can find a better bra). If you are large DD or DDD then buy three of these for working out and day to day use. Lilyette makes the most comfortable bras that I have found in the DDD range. They last very well and are sooo comfortable. You can jump around in them and not be in pain from your boobs being three jumps behind you. Also definitely check out Lilyette's cotton bras in similar styles - they are my equivalent of the sports bra. |
